Choosing A Video
Production Company?
Look
At More Than Their Equipment!

Buying Equipment Does Not
Make You A Professional If a production team doesn't know the subject, how can they convey the message? That’s a key consideration when selecting who will produce your next video production. And it applies to more than just the scriptwriter. If the director or cameraperson doesn't know your product or service, how are they going to present your idea in a way to motivate your audience in the manner you want? And how will they create those camera shots that make your audience say, "Wow," instead of boredom? It comes down to some simple tests before you sign on the dotted line:
You don't need experts in your field to do the job. A production team that learns quickly, and armed with the freshness of an outsider's perspective, can make the difference between an ordinary or great video production. So, You're Going To Be On Camera...
With a few pointers, you can carry off your first video appearance like a pro:
An experienced director can bring out the best in you. If a scene calls for a particular type of presentation (warm, persuasive, etc.) the director knows the best techniques to prepare you for it. If you are having trouble with a particular part of your script, the director may suggest a simple rewrite, body movement or change in setting to help you overcome the problem. At Mobile-Video Productions, we have helped many a non-professional put in a premier performance. And often, it’s the smallest detail that makes the biggest difference. Want National TV
Exposure?
Video News Releases have become the rage ― and for good reason. VNR's, as they are known, are the most cost-effective way to get your message out nationally via satellite, by mail, or on the Internet. But VNR's have to be produced properly if they are going to get the first second of air time. The key is that you have to create a news story -- not just a promotional piece. You can still promote or persuade, but your message has to be made newsworthy. It’s a fine balance that requires a really creative touch to achieve. Proper packaging is another important element. Some stations want a complete, ready-to-run news story. Others want a "B-Roll" (the raw footage, and sound bites) plus a fact sheet so they can assemble their own piece with their news staff providing the voice-over. As with any news story, timeliness is everything, which makes VNR's even more effective. VNR's can be produced and distributed as fast as paper press releases. And they provide much more impact. MVP has been producing successful national VNR's for a variety of clients. Our VNR's have aired on NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN. Update Your Videos
Often firms and associations will shelve videos for such reasons as a segment being out-of-date or a featured individual no longer being on staff...and there is little or no budget to produce a completely new video. What a waste of money! Those videos can many times be saved by simply editing and replacing the unwanted scenes for a fraction of the production's original cost. The key is what you have to work with in terms of master footage and audio tracks. If you have a video collecting dust instead of conveying its originally intended valuable message – give us a call. We'll take a look at your project and work with you to make that once primo production a working asset again. Mobile-Video
Productions
Mobile-Video Productions (MVP), of Rockville/Bethesda, Maryland is helping Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) save lives through three safety videos. For National and Dulles airports, MVP produced videos about Safety and Security Procedures in the Air Operations Areas. In response to airport security threats nationwide, the videos are required training for all personnel working around aircraft. MVP also produced a video for Washington's Metro to illustrate the system's unique concept of safety and risk management. Funded by the Department of Transportation, it will be used to inform Metro staff. It has also been selected by DOT as required viewing for all major transportation authority general managers and boards of directors to promote national adoption of the concept. This is just the latest in a series of safety videos for Metro. Others have covered topics such as: Standard Operating Procedures During Emergencies, Substance Abuse and Awareness, Basic Rail Safety For Non-Operating Personnel, and Safety Operational Procedures For Bus Drivers. While MVP may be indirectly saving lives, it is directly saving clients money by helping them get the most cost-effective productions for their budget dollars. For Your Next
